MFA Photography - University for the Creative Arts
Sian initially became inspired to pursue photography after visiting her first David Bailey exhibition accompanied by her Father at the age of 15 whilst studying for her Art GCSE. During her A levels studying Art, Photography and Media she purchased her first camera which she still uses to this day alongside a further collection of both analogue and digital cameras.
In recent years Sian has enjoyed travelling the world and expanding her knowledge on both the theory and technical sides of photography. The way that photography can be powerful enough to control ways in which people see and believe, inspires her to make artwork that encourages society to view everyday life from contrasting perspectives.
